I was born and raised in Joplin, MO. Being from the heartland, I grew up listening to different types of music. I love music! Well, all music except opera or rap. Neither are for me.
Gospel music inspires me the most. The first song I ever wrote was a gospel song. I began writing songs when I was in my late teens.
Then, I didn't write for years and years. I had some things happen in my life, and slowly started to get back into it.
One day a friend of mine wanted to get together to write. I had some lyrics and some things in mind, but life happened and he ended up being too busy to get together.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because he hooked me up with someone else. We became friends, and wrote A Broken Heart Is Hard To Mend.
Everything inspires me to write. It could a word, something I saw, a thought; it could come from anywhere at any time. I love writing.
